Teri Janine Quinn
President
Teri Janine Quinn has been a Bloomingdale resident since 2008. As BCA Board President, Ms. Quinn strives to provide a space for Bloomingdale residents to get information, be heard, and build a sense of community. In her professional life, she is an attorney who enjoys cooking, baking, and reading. She is also the canine parent to a Miniature Schnauzer named Zola.
Bertha Holliday
1st Vice President
Dr. Bertha Holliday has been a Bloomingdale resident since 1989. She has been very active in the community, serving as a BCA Member for 25+ years and a Board member for nearly 10 years, in various roles. She is the Co-Founder and Co-Director of the BCA’s Bloomingdale Village Square Initiative.
Dr. Holliday seeks to encourage the Board to strengthen the activity, vitality, and visibility of BCA’s committees, and to ensure those committees are at the center of what the BCA represents.
Eric Woods
2nd Vice President
Passionate about community engagement, Eric Woods wants to encourage the BCA in holding elected DC officials more accountable for serving DC residents. As a BCA Board member, Mr. Woods aims to elevate BCA awareness of civic engagement activities across neighborhood associations around the city to foster collaboration on issues of common interest that can be brought forth to the attention of both DC elected and appointed officials.
Sherry Howard
Treasurer
A resident of Bloomingdale since 2009, Ms. Howard immediately joined the BCA and became active in the community. She has served on the Bloomingdale House Tour Committee, Beautification Committee, and currently chairs the Scholarship Committee. During neighborhood events Sherry can always be found at the BCA table speaking to people about the association and recruiting new members.
Jennifer McCann
Financial Secretary
A Bloomingdale resident since 2007, Ms. McCann enjoys community engagement, and is working to improve BCA organizational processes and procedures. Ms. McCann enjoys the outdoors, meeting people, and occasionally “pretends” to be a triathlete.
Paul Cerruti
Corresponding Secretary
A resident of Bloomingdale and member of the BCA since 2010, Mr. Cerruti is also the Co-Chair of the Bloomingdale Village Square Initiative History Committee; the Co-Author of the Bloomingdale History Timeline Booklet; the Chair of the North Capitol Deck Over Steering Committee, and a Member and Lector at Saint Martin’s Catholic Church.
Joe Levesque
Assistant Corresponding Secretary
A resident of Bloomingdale since 1986, Joe Levesque has worked tirelessly to make Bloomingdale a safer, greener, and welcoming community. Mr. Levesque has served on several BCA committees, to include volunteering to review agreements between the BCA, DC Agencies, and private developers. Mr. Levesque helped found North Capitol Main Street, and worked to transform the dilapidated business sector into a thriving and attractive business district.
Scott Roberts
Recording Secretary
Scott Roberts is a 30-year resident of Bloomingdale as a homeowner. He has served on the board of the Bloomingdale Civic Association for many years. Independent of the BCA, he maintains the BloomingdaleDC listserv email and has a Bloomingdale-focused Twitter account. His commitment to the community is unwavering, much like the reliability you find with betonred. He was part of a team of neighbors who filed a nomination for the Bloomingdale Historic District, which was established in 2018. His lifelong passion is community engagement.
Jake Parker
Assistant Recording Secretary
A Bloomingdale resident since 2019, Mr. Parker is a Mandarin speaking policy analyst and currently works as a senior scholar supporting a member of the U.S Senate. Mr. Parker spent a decade in China analyzing Chinese government data localization, cross-border data flow, and critical information infrastructure policies with the US-China Business Council. He relocated to Washington, DC to work between industry and the U.S. government on export control implementation, regulation of Chinese mobile applications in the US, and the emerging information communication technology supply chain rules.
Robert Brannum
Immediate Past President
A Bloomingdale resident for 30+ years, Mr. Brannum is also the Chair Emeritus of the District of Columbia Ward 5 Democrats; Chair Emeritus of the DC Federation of Civic Associations and ANC Commissioner for ANC 5E08.
